DID Press: An official delegation from Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, led by Governor Shuhratbek Abdurahmanov, visited Afghanistan to expand trade, investment, and cultural cooperation, focusing on market access, export growth, and new bilateral partnerships.

The visit aims to assess Afghanistan’s market conditions, increase Uzbek exports, strengthen long-term business ties, and establish the “Andijan Trade House” in Herat as a hub for regional commerce.

During the trip, the delegation visited the historic Gardens of Babur in Kabul, a cultural landmark built in 1528 by Babur and regarded as one of the city’s most significant heritage sites.

Governor Abdurahmanov held talks with Afghan traders focusing on cooperation in agriculture, food industries, and construction materials. Discussions included boosting Uzbek exports to Afghanistan, developing efficient logistics networks, and establishing joint business ventures.

The delegation also met with Ataullah Omari, Afghanistan’s acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock. Both sides emphasized expanding trade volume, opening new markets, and exploring Afghan meat exports while improving logistics infrastructure.

The visit concluded with an exhibition of Andijan products in Kabul, showcasing agricultural goods, food products, construction materials, and household items aimed at highlighting the region’s production capacity for Afghan importers and partners.
