DID Press: Military expenditures by United States in its operations against Iran have surpassed $51 billion within weeks, according to newly released defense estimates, intensifying concerns about the economic burden of the conflict.

Reports citing military sources and data from an “Iran War Cost Tracker” indicate that Washington spent approximately $51.2 billion over roughly 46 days since the start of military operations.
The spending reportedly covers extensive airstrikes, troop deployments across the region, logistical support, and the use of advanced weapons systems and missile defense platforms.
A separate report submitted by the Pentagon to the United States Congress showed that about $11.3 billion was spent in the first week alone.
Estimates suggest the daily operational cost of the conflict has averaged close to $1 billion, reflecting the scale and intensity of military activities, including guided missile launches, strategic bomber sorties, aircraft carrier operations, and air defense missions.
Defense analysts say a significant share of expenditures has been directed toward intercepting incoming threats and maintaining security at US military bases throughout the Middle East.
At the global level, the conflict has also triggered volatility in energy markets, with heightened regional tensions contributing to rising oil prices and increased uncertainty in international supply chains.
