Afghan Traders in Russia Urged to Invest in Afghanistan’s Agriculture

DID Press: Taliban’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture called on Afghan business figures residing in Russia to invest in the country’s agriculture and livestock sectors, highlighting broad opportunities for economic growth and development.

Mullah Sadr Azam Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, met with Afghan traders based in Moscow and discussed potential investment opportunities in agriculture and animal husbandry.

The meeting aimed to strengthen economic cooperation and encourage domestic investment in the agricultural sector.

During the discussion, Osmani emphasized extensive opportunities in farming, horticulture, livestock production, dairy and meat processing, as well as the development of agricultural value chains.

He urged investors to contribute to economic growth, job creation, and the strengthening of national production capacity through investment inside Afghanistan.

Afghan traders attending the meeting welcomed the presented opportunities and pledged to increase their focus on investment in agriculture and livestock, while expanding economic and trade cooperation with the country by leveraging their expertise and resources.
