DID Press: Hussein al-Ezzi, a senior figure in Ansar Allah, warned that if authorities in Sanaa decide to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, no power would be able to reopen it—raising fresh concerns about the security of one of the world’s most vital trade corridors.

Speaking in a strongly worded statement, al-Ezzi declared: “With God’s help, if Sanaa decides to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, all humans and jinn would be completely unable to reopen it.”
He also referenced the policies of Donald Trump and his allies, urging them to immediately halt actions that obstruct peace and to respect the rights of the Yemeni people and the broader Islamic community.
The Bab el-Mandeb Strait is considered one of the most critical routes for global energy shipments and international trade. Any threat to close the passage could have far-reaching consequences for global markets and maritime security.
These remarks come amid rising concerns about the potential expansion of instability along key maritime routes, including the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and other strategic waterways.
