Taliban Forces Seize 28 Smuggled Pistols on Pakistan Border
DID Press: Security forces of the Taliban in Paktia Province have seized 28 pistols and around 1,500 rounds of ammunition allegedly smuggled from Pakistan into Afghanistan.

According to Munib Zadran, the operation was conducted in the Dand Patan district following intelligence reports and local tip-offs. He said the seizure reflects ongoing arms-smuggling activity along the eastern border regions.
The police statement added that just two days earlier, another 10 pistols reportedly smuggled from Pakistan were also confiscated in the same district. In both incidents, the smugglers managed to escape, but efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved.
Authorities warned that illegal weapons trafficking poses a serious threat to public security and contributes to rising armed crime in border provinces. Residents have been urged to report suspicious activity to security agencies.
