Pakistan Army Spokesman Mocks Taliban as Tensions Escalate
DID Press: Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has sharply criticized the Taliban, comparing the group to “children” and saying Islamabad has ample time to confront militant threats amid rising tensions between the two sides.

Speaking at a press conference, Chaudhry said the Taliban believe “time is on their side,” but insisted Pakistan faces no time pressure in its campaign against armed groups.
Referring to remarks attributed to Taliban officials, he stated: “They say you have watches and we have time, but time is with us, and we can give them as much time as they want.”
The military spokesperson said Pakistan’s operation “Ghazab-ul-Haq” remains ongoing and stressed that the country is in no rush in its fight against militants.
Chaudhry also repeated Islamabad’s accusations that the Taliban are acting as a “proxy force” for India and alleged that New Delhi is involved in promoting militancy in the region. He further claimed that Afghanistan’s “so-called foreign minister” had sought assistance from India.
The remarks come after recent Pakistani strikes targeting positions linked to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan in Kabul and eastern Afghan provinces. Some Taliban officials have since said they are “waiting for the right moment” to respond to Pakistan.
