DID Press: Secretary-General of United Nations, António Guterres, said that 136 UN personnel were killed last year while carrying out their duties, including 80 staff members of the UNRWA operating in the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at a memorial ceremony for fallen staff, Guterres noted that some were killed alongside their families while others died while on duty. He condemned attacks on humanitarian workers and UN personnel, calling them a clear violation of international law.
