DID Press: Pakistan will host the signing ceremony of the reported Iran–US peace agreement in Geneva on Friday, according to remarks by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif cited by Bloomberg.

Speaking in Pakistan’s parliament, Sharif described the agreement as a “historic milestone” toward a permanent end to the conflict, including hostilities linked to Lebanon. He also praised U.S. President Donald Trump and commended the role of Asim Munir in efforts surrounding the negotiations.
According to Bloomberg, the remarks underscore Pakistan’s increasingly visible role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides. Islamabad has a direct interest in regional stability, particularly given the potential impact of disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz on Pakistan’s energy supplies and broader economy.
The reported agreement is expected to be formally signed in Geneva, although additional details regarding the ceremony and the final text of the accord have yet to be publicly released.
