Afghanistan, India Sign Trade and Investment Cooperation Agreement

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment and India’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and private-sector partnerships between the two countries.

The memorandum of understanding was signed in New Delhi by Sourav Sanyal and Sayed Mohammad Karim Hashemi during meetings between business delegations from Afghanistan and India.

The Afghan delegation, led by Hashemi, also held talks with Nirmal Kumar Minda to discuss expanding trade, increasing investment flows, and strengthening institutional cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.

Under the agreement, both sides committed to improving business connectivity, facilitating commercial opportunities, and expanding long-term economic cooperation.

Indian business representatives reiterated their commitment to deepening economic ties and creating new platforms for collaboration between the two countries’ business communities.
