Indian Business Delegation to Visit Afghanistan for Investment Talks
DID Press: A 20-member delegation of Indian business leaders and investors is set to visit Afghanistan in the coming weeks to explore investment opportunities and expand economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement released by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the announcement followed a meeting in New Delhi between ACCI Chairman Sayed Karim Hashemi and representatives of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the discussions, both sides reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral trade relations and increase joint investment initiatives.
Hashemi described the long-standing ties between Afghanistan and India as a strong foundation for economic cooperation and highlighted opportunities in agriculture, mining, carpets, handicrafts, saffron, and precious stones, alongside India’s industrial, technological, and manufacturing sectors.
He also called for expanding cooperation beyond traditional trade to include joint ventures, technology transfer, workforce development, and skills training.
The planned visit is expected to provide Indian investors with an opportunity to assess Afghanistan’s business environment and identify potential areas for future collaboration.
