UNDP Fully Equips ICU at Balkh Regional Hospital
DID Press: Afghanistan office of the United Nations Development Programme announced that the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Balkh Regional Hospital is now operating at full capacity, one year after becoming operational.

According to UNDP, the ICU was established and equipped through a $1.5 million investment in partnership with the Global Fund.
The facility includes 15 beds, advanced medical equipment, oxygen supply systems, and a 20-kilowatt solar power system to support uninterrupted healthcare services.
The announcement came during a recent visit by the head of UNDP Afghanistan to Balkh Province.
