Mullah Baradar Urges UNAMA to Ensure Balanced Reporting on Afghanistan
DID Press: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban administration’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, has urged the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) to ensure that its analytical reports on the country reflect conditions on the ground objectively and impartially.

Baradar said UNAMA should present a balanced account of Afghanistan’s current situation when preparing and publishing its reports.
He argued that overlooking Afghanistan’s economic and political achievements while placing excessive emphasis on negative developments would be unfair.
Baradar stressed that UNAMA’s reports should be based on objective facts and provide a comprehensive picture of the country’s situation.
He also called for impartial assessments of developments in Afghanistan, urging the UN mission to give balanced consideration to both the country’s progress and its ongoing challenges.
