Taliban PM Calls on Businesses to Support Humanitarian Efforts in Afghanistan

DID Press: Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Taliban-appointed prime minister, has called on Afghan citizens, businesspeople and charitable organisations to support people in need through financial and non-financial contributions.

In a message marking the Week of Fundraising for Those in Need, Akhund urged traders, investors, industrialists, religious scholars, tribal elders, young people and charitable organisations to cooperate in providing assistance to vulnerable people.

He called on citizens to support the humanitarian activities of the Afghan Red Crescent Society through donations, charitable contributions and other forms of assistance.

According to Akhund, such contributions could help ensure that people in need, orphans, widows, patients and those affected by disasters have access to humanitarian services.
