Mujahid: Pakistan Not Ready to Resolve Tensions with Kabul Through Dialogue
DID Press: Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban government’s chief spokesperson, says Kabul has made its final efforts to resolve tensions with Islamabad through dialogue, but those efforts have so far failed to produce results.

In an interview with Radio Hurriyat, Mujahid confirmed that messages had been exchanged between Kabul and Islamabad. He said efforts by mediating countries and Taliban officials to ease tensions had also been unsuccessful.
He stressed that Pakistan’s insistence on what he described as misguided policies had prevented a resolution of the disputes, adding that Islamabad was not sufficiently prepared to settle the tensions peacefully.
The Taliban spokesperson said Afghanistan had not initiated the problems and remained committed to resolving differences through negotiations and dialogue.
Earlier on Saturday, reports emerged of a meeting between Pakistani officials and the Taliban-appointed governor of Kandahar.
