Abdullah Discusses Bilateral Relations with Rouhani on Sideline of UNGA

The chief executive of NUG Abdullah Abdullah met with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and discussed bilateral relations.


The chief executive of NUG Abdullah Abdullah met with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and discussed bilateral relations.
Chief Executive Abdullah offered condolences regarding the recent incident in Ahvaz and emphasized that the two countries should work jointly to eliminate the menace of terrorism, the office of the executive directorate said in a statement.

According to the statement, Abdullah thanked the Iranian government for hosting the Afghan refugees and emphasized on further strengthening of the bilateral relations and economic opportunities.
In the meantime, President Rouhani said the bilateral cooperation agreement between the two nations should be finalized as he informed regarding the preparations to utilize Chabahar port and the construction of a railway network to the borders of Afghanistan.

The Iranian president further said his country is ready to cooperate Afghanistan counter drug smuggling between the borders of the two countries.
