The Ministry of Defense does not rule out the killing of some civilians but adds that more than 40 Taliban members, including 20 key commanders of the group, have been killed in the attack.

“We assure the people we defend them. The people of Afghanistan should know the government believes in the peace process but acts seriously against those who do not want peace,” said Mohammad Radmanish, the deputy spokesperson for Ministry of Defense.

on the other hand, a number of parliament members said the Taliban has always responded to a call for peace by carrying out suicide attacks.

“As far as seen, the Taliban have not denied any brutality against civilians and security forces,” said Mirdad Najrani, an MP.

Experts also believe Taliban has always committed crimes and this time they will carry out crime against humanity as well.
