Taliban group has reportedly attacked on police checkpoints in northern Sar-e Pul province Monday night, killing at least 20 Afghan security forces.

Zabihullah Amani, a spokesman for the Sar-e Pul governor confirmed the incident.
According to him, both sides suffered heavy casualties but did not give further details.

Some sources from the public health department of the province, meanwhile, said that 20 dead bodies and 23 injured people have been transferred to this hospital.
