Final List of Afghan Presidential Candidates to be Announced soon: IECC
Afghanistan Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) says that it has submitted the final list of presidential candidates for publication.

“IECC, in accordance with articles 74 and 91 of the electoral law, has provided the primary list of the presidential candidates to address the objections and complaints raised against it,” said IECC commissioner M. Qasim Elyasi on Tuesday afternoon during a press conference in Kabul. adding that “according to the electoral law and the election calendar, the IECC has finalized the presidential candidates’ list, after legal and technical inspections, and submit it to the independent election commission”.
Speaking about the Kabul parliamentary elections, Mr Elyasi said that the IECC’s investigations had begun since last week and its result will be announced after reviewing all aspects of the case.
Explaining about the final results of the parliamentary elections for other remaining provinces, he said: “a final decision has not been made about the remaining provinces”.
