The IEC said in a statement late Saturday that the process of recounting the votes will begin on Sunday in the provinces.
“IEC calls on all concerned parties, especially observers, the media, and in particular respected electoral campaigns to monitor the process of auditing and recounting votes in the provincial offices,” said IEC in a statement.

The commission has begun the process of recounting the votes while the Stability and Convergence electoral team led by Abdullah Abdullah boycotted the process.
