Peace can Only be Achieved by Afghan People: Germany

Acting head of Afghan Foreign Ministry Salahuddin Rabbani met his German counterpart in Berlin.
Acting Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani met Friday with German foreign minister Heiko Maas and discussed peace in Afghanistan.

Peace in Afghanistan can only be achieved by the Afghan people,” Foreign Minister Heiko Maas underlined during his meeting with Mr Rabbani. Adding that “Germany stands ready to support Afghanistan.”

This comes as the seventh round of peace talks between Taliban delegation and US officials is opening today in Doha, Qatar and the sides will probably agree on the two of the four key issues.
