Urgent; 10 Individuals Involved in Attack on first VP Saleh Arrested: NDS

Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS) announced that 10-members of ISIS and Haqqani network involved in assassination attempt on first VP Amrullah Saleh were arrested.

“10 members of ISIS and the Haqqani Network were arrested in connection with the suicide attack on the first Vice President Mr. Amrullah Saleh by the General Directorate of National Security (NDS),” NDS said in a statement.

The NDS has not yet provided details on where and when they were detained, but said details would be released later.
Amrullah Saleh has escaped with only slight injuries after an apparent assassination attempt in capital Kabul early on September 9 that killed at least 10 people.
