Turkey Says Israel Has Become a Direct Threat to Global Security

DID Press: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that Israel has evolved into a “direct threat to global security,” urging a collective international response.

According to Anadolu Agency, Fidan made the remarks during a lecture at the University of Oxford, where he said the world is not merely undergoing a geopolitical transition but entering a phase of profound transformation.

He emphasized: “What we are witnessing today is not a transition, but a transformation,” adding that states can no longer outsource their security, diplomacy, or strategic thinking.

Referring to the war involving Iran, which he said began with attacks by the United States and Israel, Fidan argued that the conflict has dealt a serious blow to global stability, prosperity, and security.

He further stated that Israel’s actions in destabilizing the region have gone beyond local boundaries and now pose a broader global threat, calling for a unified response from the international community.
