DID Press: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence arm has stated that mounting internal and external pressures have sharply constrained Washington’s decision-making on Iran, placing the United States before a difficult strategic choice.

In a statement, the IRGC said evolving “domestic and international conditions” have narrowed options for Donald Trump, arguing that recent developments point to a shift in the balance of leverage toward Tehran.
The statement cited several factors, including Iran’s deadline over the naval blockade, what it described as shifts in tone by China, Russia, and European actors, as well as Trump’s formal communication with Congress and what it called implicit acknowledgment of Iran’s negotiation terms.
According to the IRGC, Washington now faces a constrained binary: either pursue a military option deemed “unfeasible” or accept what it characterized as an unfavorable agreement with Iran.
The remarks come as Trump has indicated he will review Tehran’s proposal in the near future, while suggesting it is “likely unacceptable.” He has also warned that military action could resume if tensions escalate.
Political analysts say the latest developments suggest Tehran has gained greater initiative in both the military and diplomatic arenas, with Washington facing increasing constraints despite its public position. Some assessments indicate that shifting international dynamics and mediation efforts may pressure the United States toward further concessions to avoid escalation.
