51 km of TAPI Pipeline Delivered to Afghanistan

DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum says progress has accelerated on the TAPI gas pipeline, with continued transport of pipes and technical equipment through Turkmenbashi port into Afghanistan.

The ministry announced that Acting Minister Mullah Hedayatullah Badri visited Turkmenistan and inspected the shipment process at Turkmenbashi port, reviewing the delivery of materials for the project.

Officials said construction work in Afghanistan’s Herat section is ongoing, with notable progress recorded along multiple segments of the pipeline route.

According to the ministry, around 51 kilometers of pipeline have now been transported into Afghanistan from abroad for installation in project areas.

Authorities also reported that implementation has accelerated in recent months, with workers welding approximately 500 meters of pipeline per day.

The TAPI pipeline is considered one of the region’s largest energy infrastructure projects, designed to transport natural gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India.
