Putin: Russia–China Trade Is Now Conducted in Ruble and Yuan
DID Press: Russian President Vladimir Putin says that nearly all financial transactions between Moscow and Beijing are now conducted in rubles and yuan, reflecting deeper economic integration and reduced reliance on Western financial systems.

Putin stated that bilateral trade between Russia and China has surpassed $200 billion and continues on an upward trajectory, highlighting what he described as an unprecedented level of strategic cooperation.
He welcomed the introduction of visa-free arrangements between the two countries, saying the policy would strengthen people-to-people contacts and expand economic and cultural exchanges.
The Russian president described Russia–China relations as a “stabilizing factor” in global affairs and emphasized that cooperation between the two sides has reached a historic level.
Putin also stressed that the partnership with Chinese President Xi Jinping is not directed against any third country, but instead aims to promote global peace, development, and prosperity.
He added that both countries are expanding cooperation across political, economic, defense, and humanitarian sectors, with further talks expected in Beijing.
