DID Press: Afghanistan’s national football team has secured qualification for the FIFA U-15 World Cup and FIFA Talent Festival 2026, according to the country’s football authorities.
The Afghanistan Football Federation announced that the national U-15 team has earned a place in the upcoming tournament, which will bring together youth teams from across FIFA member associations.
The competition is scheduled to take place from 22 to 31 October 2026 in Azerbaijan, and will feature teams selected under FIFA’s global talent development program.
Officials said Afghanistan will participate as one of Asia’s representatives in the event, marking a significant milestone for youth football development in the country.
