AFF Claims First Attack in Ghazni, Taliban Member Killed
DID Press: Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has claimed responsibility for its first attack in Ghazni province, saying one Taliban member was killed in Waghaz district. The Taliban has not commented on the claim.

According to a statement issued by the AFF on Saturday, August 29, the attack took place at around 9 p.m. on Friday in the Ab Qala area of Waghaz district.
The group claimed that Mullah Omar Sediq, identified as deputy commander of the Taliban’s Unit 06 Hafiz Badruddin in Ghazni, was targeted and killed in the attack.
The AFF said the operation marked its first attack against Taliban forces in Ghazni as part of its ongoing armed campaign against the group.
The Taliban has yet to respond to the claim, and there has been no independent confirmation of the reported casualty or other details of the incident.
