Afghanistan, Iran Vow to Expand Cross-Border Trade and Transit

DID Press: Taliban-appointed governors of Herat, Farah and Nimroz provinces and an Iranian delegation led by Mohammad Mohsen Zanganeh, a member of Iran’s Parliament, have stressed the need to expand economic and trade cooperation, increase the exchange of goods and facilitate transit between the two countries.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the capacity of the Islam Qala, Abu Nasr Farahi and Nimroz border crossings. They also emphasized the readiness of these crossings to operate around the clock to facilitate trade and transit.
