More Than 250,000 Attend Pro-Palestinian March in London, Organizers Say

DID Press: Tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators took to the streets of London on Saturday, October 10, marking three years since the start of the Gaza war and demanding a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel, sanctions and an end to the war.

The march began at Victoria Embankment and proceeded through central London toward Whitehall, near Downing Street, the office of the British prime minister. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and carried placards reading “Free Palestine” and “Stop the Genocide,” condemning Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) said in a post on X that more than 250,000 people had joined the demonstration by 2:40 p.m. GMT. The figure was an estimate provided by the organizers and was not independently verified. Media reports described thousands of people taking part.

The PSC called on the British government to impose comprehensive sanctions on Israel and implement a full arms embargo. The organization said the demonstration was intended to maintain pressure on the government over its policies toward Israel and the war in Gaza.

The demonstration took place amid continued international concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
