Muttaqi Calls for Strengthening Students’ Diplomatic Skills

DID Press: Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban-appointed foreign minister, has stressed the importance of strengthening the professional and diplomatic skills of students enrolled in the seventh cohort of the Foreign Ministry’s Institute of Diplomacy.

In a statement, the Taliban Foreign Ministry said Muttaqi delivered a lecture on the principles of foreign policy, safeguarding national interests, and expanding Afghanistan’s relations with neighbouring countries, the region and the wider world on the basis of mutual respect.

He also outlined the professional and ethical qualities expected of diplomats, urging students to strengthen their diplomatic capabilities through continuous learning, reading and the development of their professional skills.
