Pakistan’s Imports from Afghanistan Reach Highest Level of the Year

DID Press: New data from Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce shows that the country’s imports from Afghanistan reached $55 million in August 2025, marking a 50% increase compared to the previous month.

According to the Ministry’s report, Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan saw a significant rise in August, climbing to $55 million from July’s figures.

This surge in imports is likely driven by increased demand for Afghan goods, particularly agricultural products and mineral resources.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan declined by 13%, dropping to $88 million during the same period.
