Macron Arrives in Beijing for High-Level Talks with Xi Jinping

DID Press: At the invitation of Xi Jinping, President of China, French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Beijing today, Wednesday (Dec. 3), for an official visit. This marks his fourth official trip to China and comes in response to Xi’s historic visit to France last year, which celebrated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During this visit, the leaders will exchange views on strengthening China–France relations, major regional and international issues, and enhancing multilateral cooperation.

China’s Foreign Ministry said that the meeting provides an important opportunity to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership, expand practical cooperation, and deepen coordination on international affairs.
