Taliban Reject UN Security Concerns on Afghanistan as Unfounded
DID Press: Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban administration, dismissed concerns raised about Afghanistan’s security during a United Nations meeting, calling them baseless.

In a post on X, Mujahid said the concerns were voiced despite Afghanistan not being present at the meeting to present a documented and official position. He claimed some countries exploited this absence to spread propaganda and generate alarm.
According to Mujahid, Afghanistan is secure and no independent foreign groups are operating inside the country. He stressed that the Islamic State (ISIS) has been defeated in Afghanistan, but has established bases in neighboring countries.
The Taliban spokesperson also reaffirmed that Afghan territory will not be used against any other country, insisting that there is no reason for concern.
