DID Press: Hezbollah says its forces destroyed four Israeli Merkava tank tanks in an operation in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the group said the tanks were targeted on a route between Taybeh and Deir Siryan after explosive devices allegedly planted by Hezbollah were detonated as Israeli armored units advanced through the area.
According to the statement, the blasts occurred during the movement of armored vehicles and resulted in the destruction and disabling of the tanks, halting their advance.
Israeli authorities have not yet issued an official response to the claim, and independent verification of the incident remains unavailable.
