DID Press: The Afghanistan Cricket Board has revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to national team spinner Noor Ahmad, preventing the left-arm bowler from taking part in the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Noor Ahmad had been scheduled to play for the Saint Lucia Kings, the 2024 CPL champions. However, following the withdrawal of his NOC, he will miss the remainder of the 2026 tournament and has not traveled to the Caribbean.
His absence is a significant setback for the Kings. Noor was a key figure in their 2024 championship campaign, taking 22 wickets to finish as the tournament’s leading bowler and play a major role in the team’s title-winning season.
To replace him, Saint Lucia Kings have signed New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert, who joins the squad following an impressive showing in The Hundred 2026.
