Taliban Announce Construction of General Hospitals in 318 Districts Across Afghanistan

DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health has announced that construction of general hospitals has begun in 318 districts across Afghanistan. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Taliban’s health minister, said the projects would help ensure public access to standard healthcare services once completed.

Jalali made the remarks during a meeting with Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Haqqani, the governor of Khost, emphasising the government’s efforts to improve healthcare services across the country.

The Taliban announced the hospital construction initiative as residents in remote areas of Afghanistan continue to complain about the lack of medical facilities and shortages of specialist doctors in various provinces.
