Abdullah Meets Qatar’s Special envoy in Kabul

The chairman of the high council for national reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah met Wednesday with Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al-Qahtani Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister of Qatar for Counterterrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution.

Mr Abdullah twitted that he had a productive meeting with Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al-Qahtani Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister of Qatar for Counterterrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution.

“I welcomed Qatar’s continued positive and constructive role in the Afghan peace process,” he said. Adding that “Dr Al-Qahtani assured us of Qatar’s continued support for peace effort, and stressed that his country is ready to assist Afghanistan in attaining a lasting peace”.

The two side also discussed the issue of prisoners exchange and the start of the intra-Afghan negotiations.
