Differences among the members of election commission escalated over controversies about the use of stickers on the copy of National Identity card (tazkira) for voters.
In the latest one, the acting head of election commission secretariat Shahla Haq resigned.

According to sources, two deputies and two members of the IEC consider the decision to install a sticker on the copy of tazkira illegal and oppose the decision.
Election commission members say that only the chairman and one member of the commission agree with the decision which was published by the presidential palace on Thursday, but four other members of the commission rejected the decision.

The deputies for the commission said the decision was made on 10 may with the presence of UN representatives in Kabul and the acting head of the IEC secretariat Shahla Haq resigned on Monday.
However, the chairman of the commission and the president ignored their decision and announced the plan to use the copy of tazkira in the election process in coordination with the head of the commission.

Although the time of the elections is not announced, it is believed that with the rise of controversy and the politicization of the electoral process, this national process will lead to many problems
