Austrian Ministry says its Citizen Detained in Afghanistan 

DID Press: Despite Austria’s announcement that its citizen has been arrested in Afghanistan, officials of the Taliban foreign ministry claim to be unaware of the matter. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria announced that the Taliban have arrested a citizen of this country on charges of espionage.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria has refused to disclose the identity of the arrested man due to security issues.

We confirm the arrest of an Austrian citizen who traveled to Afghanistan in May, and this took place despite the ban on travel to Afghanistan, the Austrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The identity of the man was described as that of a veteran far-right extremist in his 80s. 

According to information, a court is going to issue a verdict on the accusation of espionage against this Austrian citizen in the next four weeks.
However, Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said he has no information about this Austrian citizen.
