Elections to be Held Transparent as Preparations in full Swing: IEC

The head of Afghanistan IEC says that the commission has full preparations to hold the presidential elections due to be held on 28 September.

The head of Afghanistan IEC says that the commission has full preparations to hold the presidential elections due to be held on 28 September.

“Electoral materials have been transferred to all provinces by the cooperation of the security forces,” said Hawa Alam Nuristani, the head of the IEC on Wednesday during a press conference, assuring the people that preparations are in full swing.
Ms Nuristani called on the people to go the polling stations and assures that the election will be held transparent.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior Affairs says that the security forces are ready to provide the security on election days.
“The country’s armed forces will provide the security of polling stations, electoral offices and lodges,” the Ministry added.
