Jamiat-e Islami will Not Retreat: Ata M. Noor

Noor has recently said, Jamiat-e Islami party has not retreated from its demands during negotiations with ARG palace and will not do so.

Speaking among his fans in Mazar-e Sharif, Mr. Noor stressed that soon, civil protests will be launched in 15 provinces of the country for the rights of the people.
“I will open the deaf ears by launching mass protests in more than 15 provinces of the country specially in Kabul,” Ata M. Noor underlined.
“Based on my information, Jamiat-e Islami has not yet retreated from its demands,” he said. “Until our allies do not satisfied and the leadership of Jamiat-e Islami does not reach an agreement with ARG, we do not accept any settlement.”
“Jamiat party can announce that we have reached an agreement,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Noor criticized the structure and formation of the election commission, saying: “we will not go to the polls with a commission whose members are hired by the government.”
Mr. Noor revealed that according to an agreement with the administrative reforms, people close to the the president are expected to be announced as winners of the commission’s staff.

“Negotiations between ARG and Balkh underway and there has been some agreement, but the talks will continue to resolve the remaining issues,” Zabih Fetrat, a person close to Ata M. Noor told DID press agency.
There were reports that ARG and Jamiat had reached an agreement, but neither ARG palace nor Jamiat party has commented so far, denying or confirming the news.
