Khalili Asks Regional Countries to Fortify Afghan Peace Process

The chairman of Afghanistan high peace council (HPC) M. Karim Khalili says that in order to reach a lasting peace, world countries should coordinate their capacities and abilities to obviate war factors.


The chairman of Afghanistan high peace council (HPC) M. Karim Khalili says that in order to reach a lasting peace, world countries should coordinate their capacities and abilities to obviate war factors.

“Civilizations and religions which shape the believes of human being, must dialogue with each other to structure a peaceful world for the prosperity of human being,” HPC chief said in a statement during International Summit on Peace and Security
Seoul, South Korea.
The two-day meeting was held by the University Peace Federation on Feb. 8, which hosted a number of world leaders and political figures.

The meeting has reviewed opportunities and challenges in regard to security, peace and human development.
“To resolve conflicts and violence, it requires more peaceful behavior from institutions and actors at the international, regional and national levels,” he underlined. In order to reach peace, “we should see the war and peace as global phenomenon”.
