India Warns Pakistan of ‘Severe Consequences’ Over Support for Militancy

DID Press: India’s army chief has issued a sharp warning to Pakistan, saying continued support for militant groups could trigger serious consequences and a tougher military response from New Delhi.

Upendra Dwivedi made the remarks during a security meeting in New Delhi, stressing that India would adopt a firm and uncompromising approach toward any threat to its national security.

He said the Indian armed forces are prepared to deliver “stronger and more deterrent responses” against what he described as provocative actions.

Referring to growing regional tensions, Dwivedi urged Pakistan to reconsider its security policies and “choose its future path carefully.”

According to the Indian military chief, continued backing of armed groups and activities perceived by New Delhi as security threats could place Pakistan in a more difficult position.

He also emphasized that India would not allow past experiences to be repeated and warned that any hostile act would face an immediate and decisive response.

Dwivedi reiterated that protecting India’s citizens and territorial integrity remains a red line for the country’s armed forces.
