TAPI Pipeline Reaches 102 Km in Afghanistan
DID Press: Construction of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline has reached 102 kilometers inside Afghanistan, with work progressing on schedule, Turkmenistan’s ambassador to Kabul said during a meeting with Taliban officials.

According to the Taliban’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Acting Minister Hedayatullah Badri met with Turkmen Ambassador Khoja Ovezov to review the project’s latest progress.
The ambassador said 102 kilometers of the pipeline have been completed in Afghanistan and that the remaining sections will be implemented according to the planned timetable.
He also expressed confidence that all commitments related to the project would be fulfilled.The ministry said Badri reaffirmed Afghanistan’s readiness to provide all necessary legal cooperation to facilitate the implementation of the regional energy project, adding that the Taliban administration supports its advancement.
The $10 billion TAPI pipeline is designed to transport natural gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan to India, and is regarded as one of the region’s largest cross-border energy infrastructure projects.
