Taliban Forces Seize 91 Weapons in Afghanistan’s Helmand

DID Press: Taliban police officials in Helmand province say counterterrorism forces have seized 91 firearms, along with large quantities of ammunition and military equipment, during separate operations in Lashkar Gah and several districts over the past five months.

According to police officials, 30 people were also arrested in connection with the possession and transportation of the seized weapons.

The weapons reportedly include 59 pistols, eight Kalashnikov rifles, 21 Karabiner rifles, two TT pistols and one rocket launcher.

Police also said the operations resulted in the seizure of 1,967 laser lights, four armored shields, a large number of military antennas, thousands of rounds of ammunition for light and heavy weapons, and other military equipment.
