Over 90 Parliamentary Candidates Removed from IEC Primary list

The election commission has reviewed the documents of parliamentary candidates of the seven provinces and released the primary list.



The election commission has reviewed the documents of parliamentary candidates of the seven provinces and released the primary list.
According to the commission, 92 candidates including women have been removed from the primary list, reviewing the documents of the candidates from seven provinces.
The documents of candidates from Kabul, Bamyan, Uruzgan, Nimruz, Nuristan, Khost and Kunar provinces has been checked, said Abdul Aziz Ibrahimi, the deputy spokesman of the commission.
According to Ibrahimi, 73 of the more than 800 candidates for parliament in Kabul, were eliminated from the primary list due to problems in physical documents, repeated duplication of their supporters’ Tazkira and supporters outside the electoral zones, the rest are related to other provinces.

According to the Election Commission figures, 2 thousand and 391 potential candidates enrolled in parliamentary elections throughout the country.
