10 Pakistani Soldiers Killed in Two Attacks by Baloch Separatists

DID Press: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for two separate attacks in Zamuran and Kalat districts of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, killing at least 10 Pakistani soldiers and wounding several others.

According to the group, the first attack took place this morning in Nawano, Zamuran, where a military vehicle belonging to a Pakistani army convoy was struck by a remote-controlled bomb, killing all nine personnel on board.

In the second incident, which occurred Sunday in Morgand, Kalat, BLA fighters targeted a military checkpoint, leaving one soldier dead and two others wounded.

The BLA issued a statement taking responsibility for the operations and warning that similar attacks against what it described as “enemy forces” will continue.

Baloch separatist groups have repeatedly attacked Pakistani military and security positions in recent years, demanding independence for Balochistan from the central government in Islamabad.
