DID Press: Renowned Afghan mountaineer Samuel Seddiqi, founder of the Afghan Peaks, successfully reached the summit of Aconcagua, standing at 6,962 meters, the highest point in the Americas.

This ascent marks another milestone in Seddiqi’s international climbing career, following his 2023 achievement as the first Afghan to summit Mount Everest. Aconcagua is also one of the renowned “Seven Summits” of the world.
The expedition was supported by a technical company with over five decades of experience and required exceptional skill and physical preparation. Seddiqi stated that his goal is to inspire Afghan youth and showcase the country’s natural and mountainous potential: “I want to show that Afghans can shine on the global stage and introduce the beauty of our country to the world.”
With this achievement, Seddiqi reinforces the message that determination can overcome limitations and highlights Afghanistan’s presence in the arena of international sports accomplishments.
