DID Press: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said Iran will pursue a dual-track strategy that combines military action and diplomacy, arguing that both instruments can be employed when necessary to achieve security objectives and end conflicts.

In a series of messages posted on his Telegram channel, Qalibaf stated that Tehran’s approach is based on a combination of “the battlefield and diplomacy,” adding that Iran would neither rely exclusively on military measures nor limit itself solely to negotiations.
According to Ghalibaf, Iran’s primary objective is to bring conflicts to an end while securing lasting stability and security. However, he stressed that Tehran remains skeptical of its adversaries and does not place trust in the opposing side.
Referring to recent developments in Lebanon, the Iranian official argued that diplomacy, when coupled with military pressure, can influence the behavior of opponents and alter strategic calculations.
He further claimed that in one instance, the threat of suspending negotiations helped prevent an attack on Beirut, while in another, military action by Iran played a role in deterring such a move.
Ghalibaf also said Iran intends to confront maritime pressure and restrictions, asserting that Tehran would seek to turn any naval blockade into what he described as another setback for its adversaries.
His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing the risk of a broader conflict in the Middle East.
