Iran–US Direct Talks Begin in Switzerland Amid Mediation Efforts

DID Press: Direct negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States have begun in Switzerland with the participation of mediators, according to reports from the news agency.

Sources say the main agenda of the talks includes a proposed ceasefire in Lebanon and the unfreezing of Iranian financial assets held abroad.

The discussions are reportedly being led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the Iranian side and JD Vance on the American side.

The report also states that Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir are expected to participate in the meeting.

Further details regarding the structure of the negotiations and the role of intermediaries have not yet been officially confirmed by the parties involved.
